Can you use your conservatory in the winter or is it too cold, and is it too hot in the summer?
Nu-Look Conservatory Roof Solutions can replace your old conservatory roof with a lightweight insulated solid slate or tiled conservatory roof, which means your conservatory will stay warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer covering Bicester, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.

Benefits of New Slate or Tiled Conservatory Roof Replacement. With a Nu-Look replacement solid lightweight tiled or slate roof you will be able to use your conservatory all year round.

If you have a conservatory over a certain age you only had two roofing options, polycarbonate or glass and at the time their thermal u Values were very poor, especially polycarbonate, meaning that they let a lot of heat out in the winter and a lot of heat in in the summer, which is why your conservatory costs a lot to keep warm in the winter and gets suffocatingly hot in the summer.

Although technologies and production of glass and polycarbonate have improved over time, a solid insulated roof is still more energy efficient and our replacement lightweight solid tiled or slate effect conservatory roofs achieve a thermal u value of 0.16.

The Nu-Look Conservatory Roof Solutions, replacement solid roof is constructed with a timber braced frame similar to a house roof construction, and three layers of insulation.

So what is the construction of our new solid conservatory roofs?

The first thing we do is completely remove your old conservatory roof and build you a bespoke timber framed new conservatory roof, which has two layers of insulation fitted, one above the timber rafters and one between the rafters, the lightweight effect slate or tiles come in a selection of colours so that these can be closely matched to your existing house roof.

The third layer of insulation is a insulated plasterboard that is installed on the inside of your new roof, which is then skimmed to a smooth finish, we will then install spotlights or your own lighting to finish your new sun roof and completely transforming your old conservatory.

As optional extras, we can install skylight windows into your new solid conservatory roof and if needed we can also replace your old conservatory panels and doors with new ones.

As your new conservatory roof will no longer be at least 75% translucent it does fall under Building Regulations, so all conservatory roof conversions are issued with a Building Regs Certificate.
